Stanley Cup Playoffs: Canes On Cusp Of Ousting Islanders; Stars Level Series With Blues At 2-2

Two games were contested on Wednesday as the Stanley Cup Playoffs continued.

EASTERN CONFERENCE:

At Raleigh, North Carolina:

Teuvo Teravainen scored twice (once on an empty netter) as the Carolina Hurricanes downed the visiting New York Islanders 5-2 in their conference semifinal series.

The Hurricanes, who now lead three games to none, will go for the sweep of the series by winning game four in Raleigh on Friday.



WESTERN CONFERENCE:

At Dallas:

Jason Dickinson, Jason Spezza (power play), John Klingberg, and Roope Hintz each scored once as the Dallas Stars squared their conference semifinal series with the St. Louis Blues at two games apiece following their 4-2 game-four road victory.
