NBA Playoffs: Bucks Finish Off Celtics, Advance To First Conference Final Since '01; Warriors Hold Off Rockets For 3-2 Series Lead

Two games were contested on Wednesday as the NBA Playoffs continue.

EASTERN CONFERENCE:

At Milwaukee:

Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 20 points, grabbed eight rebounds, and dished out eight assists as the Milwaukee Bucks, with seven players scoring in double figures,  finished off the visiting Boston Celtics 116-91 to win their conference semifinal series four games to one.

The Bucks will have home court advantage in their first Eastern Conference Final since 2001 against the winner of the Toronto-Philadelphia series, which the Raptors lead three games to two.


WESTERN CONFERENCE:

At Oakland, California:

Klay Thompson scored 27 points while Stephen Curry added 25 and Kevin Durant (before going out in the third quarter with a calf injury) 22 as the Golden State Warriors held off the visiting Houston Rockets 104-99 in game five of their conference semifinal series.

James Harden topped the Rockets with 31 points (and eight rebounds) while Eric Gordon added 19.

The Warriors can close out the series, which they now lead three games to two,  with a game-six victory in Houston on Friday.
