NBA Playoffs: Warriors Finish Off Blazers In Portland In OT And Advance To Fifth Straight NBA Finals

At Portland, Oregon:

Stephen Curry scored 37 points, grabbed 13 rebounds, and dished out 11 assists, and with Draymond Green scoring 18 points, pulling in 14 boards, and handing out 11 assists, became the first teammates to register a triple double in a single NBA Playoff game on Monday as the Golden State Warriors erased a 17-point third-period deficit to upend the Portland Trail Blazers 119-117 in overtime to complete a four-game sweep of the Western Conference Finals and advance to their fifth successive league championship series (making them only the second team to do so after the Boston Celtics advanced to ten straight title series [1957-66]).

Meyers Leonard scored a career-high 30 points while grabbing 12 rebounds to top the Blazers while Damian Lillard added 28 points to go with his 12 assists; C.J. McCollum added 26 points to the Blazers' coffers.

The Blazers became the first team in 20 years to lose three straight playoff games after leading by 15 or more points (leading by 17 points twice and 18 once).

The Warriors will take on the winner of the Milwaukee-Toronto Eastern Conference Finals (which the Bucks now lead two games to one) in the NBA Finals, start to open on Wednesday of next week.
