Timbers Pick Up First Road Win In The Bronx

At the Bronx, New York City:

Dairon Asprilla scored the only goal of the match in the 79th minute on Sunday as the Portland Timbers went into Yankee Stadium and picked up their first Major League Soccer road win of the season, 1-0 over New York City.

Goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey made five saves in picking up his third shutout of the campaign.

The Timbers' next game is next Sunday night at Seattle against the Sounders in a nationally-televised Cascadia Cup clash (6:30 PM Pacific Time, Fox Sports 1).
