Richard L. Bare, a director who piloted the Warner Brothers theatrical one-reel comedy series "Joe McDoakes," which starred George O'Hanlon (the future voice of TV's George Jetson) in the title role, which ran 14 years (1942-56), then directed episodes of such television series as Maverick, The Twilight Zone, Petticoat Junction, and most notoriously, Green Acres, passed away on March 28 at Newport Beach, Califonia at age 101.
Mr. Bare directed all but four episodes during that last series' six-year CBS run (1965-71).
