Braydon Coburn and Anton Stralman (empty net) each scored a third-period goal while Ben Bishop saved all 31 shots as the Tampa Bay Lightning blanked the visiting Detroit Red Wings 2-0 and won their Eastern Conference quarterfinal series four games to three as the opening round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs came to a close on Wednesday.
The Lightning will open their best-of-seven conference semifinal series against the Montreal Canadiens on Friday in Montreal.
