Stanley Cup Playoffs: Wild, Habs Advance

The Stanley Cup Playoffs continued on Sunday with two games.

WESTERN CONFERENCE:

At St. Paul, Minnesota:

Zach Parise scored twice (once shorthanded) while Devan Dubnyk stopped 30 of 31 shots as the Minnesota Wild finished off the visiting St. Louis Blues 4-1 and won their conference quarterfinal series four games to two.  

Next up for the Wild, a Western Conference semifinal series against the Chicago Blackhawks.



EASTERN CONFERENCE:

At Ottawa:

Brendan Gallagher and Max Pacioretty (empty net) each scored a goal while Carey Price stopped 43 shots as the Montreal Canadiens blanked the Ottawa Senators 2-0 on the road in game six and won their conference quarterfinal series four games to two.

The Canadiens will next take on the winner of the Detroit-Tampa Bay series (Red Wings lead three games to two).
