MLB Playoffs: O's Scored Four Runs In Eighth Inning To Take 2-0 Series Lead Over Tigers; Royals Top Angels In Extra Innings Again

Both American League divisional playoff series continued on Friday.

At Baltimore:

Delmon Young drove in three runs on a pinch-hit double and the Baltimore Orioles scored four runs in the bottom half of the eighth inning and defeated the visiting Detroit Tigers 7-6 in game two of their divisional playoff series.  The Orioles, who lead the series two games to none, can finish off the Tigers with a game-three victory on Sunday in Detroit.

At Anaheim, California:

Eric Hosmer's two-run homer in the 11th inning carried the Kansas City Royals to a game-two 4-1 road victory over the Los Angeles Angels.  The Royals became the first team in Major League Baseball history to start their playoff campaign with three straight extra-inning games.  The Royals, who have now won six straight playoff games and who currently lead their divisional playoff series two games to none, can finish off the Angels with a game-three victory at home on Sunday.
