At Pittsburgh:
Maidson Bumgarner pitched a complete-game, four-hit and one-walk shutout while striking out ten batters as the San Francisco Giants demolished the Pittsburgh Pirates 8-0 on the road in Wednesday's National League Wild Card Game. In the fourth inning, Brandon Crawford became the first shortstop in Major League Baseball history to hit a postseason grand slam home run.
The Giants will take on the Washington Nationals in a best-of-five divisional playoff series, set to start in the nation's capital on Friday.
