NCAA South: Boilermakers (After OT Win Over Vols), Cavaliers (Who Snap Ducks' 10-Game Winning Streak) To Battle For Trip To Minneapolis

At KFC Yum! Center, Louisville, Kentucky:

Both games in the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament's South Regional semifinals were contested on Thursday.

Semifinal #1:

Carsen Edwards scored 29 points while Ryan Cline added 27 as the third-seeded Purdue Boilermakers (26-9)upended second-seeded Tennessee (31-6) 99-94 in overtime.

Admiral Schofield and Grant Williams, who grabbed nine and seven rebounds respectively, each scored 21 points to top the Volunteers.

Semifinal #2:

Ty Jerome scored 13 points as the top-seeded Virginia Cavaliers (32-3) outlasted the 12th-seeded Oregon Ducks (25-13) 53-49, snapping the upstarts' ten-game winning streak.

Louis King topped the game Ducks with 16 points.
