Two games were contested as the semifinal round of the West Coast Conference's men's basketball tournament took place as the Orleans Arena in suburban Las Vegas on Monday.
In the opener, Nigel Williams-Goss scored 25 points and grabbed eight rebounds as the top-seeded Gonzaga Bulldogs (31-1; #4 in both the Associated Press and USA Today/Coaches polls) held off the fourth-seeded Santa Clara Broncos (17-16) 77-68.
Jared Brownridge topped the Broncos with 32 points.
In the nightcap, Jock Landale scored 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as the second-seeded Saint Marys Gaels (28-3; #19 AP and #18 Coaches) ran roughshod over the BYU Cougars (22-11) 81-50.
