Two games were played in the quarterfinal round of the East Region of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament on Sunday.
At BOK Center, Tulsa, Oklahoma:
Johnathan Motley scored 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as the third-seeded Baylor Bears (27-7) nipped the eleventh-seeded Southern California Trojans (26-10) 82-78.
Chimezie Metu paced USC with 28 points.
At Bon Secours Wellness Center, Greenville, South Carolina:
Sindarius Thornwell scored 24 points as the seventh-seeded South Carolina Gamecocks (24-10) knocked off the second-seeded Duke Blue Devils (28-9) 88-81 to reach the Sweet Sixteen for the first time in program history.
Grayson Allen led the Blue Devils with 20 points.
