At Fullerton, California:
Charles Cooke scored 20 points while Scoochie Smith added 17 on Friday as the Dayton Flyers (3-2) defeated the Portland Pilots (3-2) 84-74 in action from the Wooden Legacy tournament.
Alec Wintering scored a game-high 31 points for the Pilots, to go along with his eight assists. 15 of his points came from the free-throw line. He also committed eight turnovers.
