Zach Matics, who missed two earlier field-goal attempts, converted on a 23-yard attempt as time expired on Saturday night as the Appalachian State Mountaineers (11-2), in their first bowl game as a full-pledged FBS program, and who entered the fourth quarter down by 17 points, pulled out a 31-29 victory over the Ohio University Bobcats (8-5) in the Camellia Bowl.
