Big Unit, Pedro, Smoltzie, Craig Biggio Elected To Baseball Hall of Fame
Pitchers Randy Johnson (who played in 22 Major League Baseball seasons, had a record of 303 wins against 166 defeats, an earned run average of 3.29), Pedro Martinez 219-100 in parts of 18 seasons, 2.93 ERA), and John Smoltz (213-155 in parts of 21 seasons, 3.33 ERA, 154 saves, making him the only pitcher with at least 200 wins and 150 saves)-----all on their first try, and longtime Houston Astoros player who had 3060 career base hits--on his third try----were elected Tuesday to the National Baseball Hall of Fame, the first time since 1955 that four men were elected to the HOF.
