Fanendo Adi scored twice (66', 69') and Diego Valeri once (28') on Saturday as the Portland Timbers dominated the visiting Vancouver Whitecaps 3-0 in Major League Soccer (and Cascadia Cup) action as the Timbers climbed up to fifth place (and the final playoff berth) in the Western Conference standings, two points in front of the 'Caps with five regular-season games remaining.
The Timbers will host Alpha United FC of Guyana in a CONCACAF Champions League Group-Five match this coming Tuesday at 7:00 PM Pacific Time (Fox Sports 1).
Portland's next MLS match is at Toronto FC next Saturday at 10:00 AM Pacific Time (ROOT Sports Northwest).
