Niners Overcome Special Team Disasters, Top Eagles

At Santa Clara, California:

Despite an interception that was run back 53 for a touchdown by Malcolm Jenkins, quarterback Colin Kaepernick threw for two TDs (55 yards to Frank Gore [who also ran for 119 on 24 carries] and 12 yards to Stevie Johnson) and Phil Dawson made all four of his field goal attempts (29, 51, 46, and 31 yards) as the San Francisco 49ers (2-2) came from behind to defeat the previously-unbeaten Philadelphia Eagles (3-1) 26-21 on Sunday.  The Eagles had two special-teams touchdowns, from Brad Smith after he recovered a blocked punt and Darren Sproles after an 82-yard punt return.  The Niners' defense preserved San Francisco's first regular-season win at Levi Stadium by stopping the Eagles on third and fourth and goal plays in the final two minutes.
