Late Equalizer Salvages Wild Home Draw For Timbers

At Portland, Oregon:

Khalif Alhassan's equalizer in the 86th minute on Sunday enabled the Portland Timbers to salvage a 3-3 Major League Soccer home draw with the San Jose Earthquakes.  Alvas Powell (54') and Liam Ridgewell (74') delivered the other Portland goals while Chris Wondolowski scored twice (11', 85') and Cordell Cato once (48') for the visiting Quakes.

The Timbers' next match will be this coming Saturday at Commerce City, Colorado against the slumping Colorado Rapids at 6:00 PM Pacific Time (Timbers Television Network via KPDX-TV, Portland-Vancouver).
