Timbers Blow Two-Goal Lead, Lose Contest To Reds In Toronto And Control Off Playoff Destiny; Lose Will Johnson For Season To Broken Leg

At Toronto:

After Nick Haggland scored twice (63', 70'), Michael Bradley scored the winning goal in the 89th minute on Saturday as Toronto FC came back from a two-goal halftime deficit to upend the visiting Portland Timbers in Saturday Major League Soccer action.

The Timbers not only lost the match, they lost captain Will Johnson to a broken leg in the opening minute in a collision with Reds' defender Mark Bloom, sidelining him for the remainder of the season.

Portland's next MLS match will be at Santa Clara, California against the San Jose Earthquakes next Saturday night at 8:00 PM Pacific Time (NBC Sports Network).

UPDATE:  With Vancouver's 2-1 come-from-behind home victory over Real Salt Lake later on Saturday, the Whitecaps jumped the Timbers into the fifth and final Western Conference playoff berth with four regular-season games remaining.
