Thomas van Der Mars scored 15 points and grabbed 12 rebounds on Thursday as the Portland Pilots (2-2) defeated the visiting Idaho Vandals (2-2) in a contest that was part of a round-robin Coaches versus Cancer Tournament which include North Texas and Columbia as well as the Pilots and Vandals.
