Idle Ducks Fall To #3 In BCS Rankings, Remain Second In AP, Coaches Polls; Beavers Drop Four Spots In BCS, Lose Remaining Support In AP Poll, Keep Some In Coaches' Rankings

After Florida State's Saturday night beatdown of Miami in a battle of ACC unbeatens, the Seminoles moved past the idle Oregon Ducks to second place in the Bowl Championship Series standings that were released on Sunday (Alabama remained on top).  The Ducks, however, remained ranked in second place in both the Associated Press (two first-place votes) and USA Today/Coaches (five first-place votes) polls.

In the wake of their Friday home defeat at the hands of Southern California, support for the Oregon State Beavers in the AP poll evaporated.  Still, they managed to maintain a smattering of support in the Coaches' poll, where they would be ranked #37. The Beavers dropped four placed in the BCS standings to #36.
