Timbers Manhandle Rapids, Stretch Unbeaten MLS Run To 15 Games

At Portland, Oregon:

Frederic Piquionne (12'), Will Johnson (45'), and Ryan Johnson (84') provided the scoring on Sunday as the Portland Timbers stretched their unbeaten streak to fifteen Major League Soccer games (seventeen in all competitions) by dominating the visiting Colorado Rapids 3-0 as they moved level with Real Salt Lake in MLS' Western Conference (and, in fact, the overall league standings).  Rodney Wallace assisted on all three goals.

The Timbers visit FC Dallas in the quarterfinal round of the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup tournament on the road at FC Dallas Stadium in Frisco, Texas this coming Wednesday.
