Timbers Blow Two-Goal Lead, Settle For Road Draw With Fire

At Bridgeview, Illinois:

Goals from Mike Magee (68') and Daniel Paladina (82') enabled the Chicago Fire to erase a two-goal deficit on Saturday and gained a 2-2 Major League Soccer home draw with the Portland Timbers, whose unbeaten streak in MLS play reached twelve games (thirteen in all competitions).  Diego Valeri (33') and Ben Zemanski (58') provided the scoring for the guests, who will host the NASL's Tampa Bay Rowdies in US Open Cup play on Wednesday, then host FC Dallas (currently with the league's best record) in MLS play next Saturday in a nationally-televised match.
