The National Football League Playoffs commenced on Saturday with two opening-round games.
AMERICAN FOOTBALL CONFERENCE:
At Kansas City:
Quarterback Marcus Mariota threw for 205 yards and two touchdowns (including one to himself) as the Tennessee Titans erased an 18-point halftime deficit on the road and shocked the Kansas City Chiefs 22-21.
The former Heisman Trophy winner from Oregon threw the game-winning 22-yard TD pass to Eric Decker with just over six minutes remaining as the Titans garnered their first playoff victory since 2003.
NATIONAL FOOTBALL CONFERENCE:
At Los Angeles:
Quarterback Matt Ryan completed 21 of 30 passes for 218 yards and a touchdown while Matt Bryant kicked four field goals as the Atlanta Falcons knocked off the Los Angeles Rams 26-13 on the road for the right to pay a visit on the Philadelphia Eagles in a divisional playoff next Saturday.
