CFP Semifinal: Bama Avenges 2017 Title Game Defeat By Dominating Clemson In Sugar Bowl

At New Orleans:

Quarterback Jalen Hurts completed 16 of 24 passes for 120 yards and a pair of touchdowns as the fourth-seeded Alabama Crimson Tide (12-1) detrhoned the top-seeded and defending national champion Clemson Tigers (12-2) 24-6 in Monday's Sugar Bowl, which doubled as the second semifinal of the College Football Playoff, as Nick Saban's squad avenged their championship game defeat at the Tigers' hands from last January.

It will be an all-Southeastern Conference CFP National Championship Game when Alabama faces Georgia next Monday night at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta (coverage set to start on ESPN at 5:00 PM Pacific Standard Time).
