TEAM USA DOMINATES PUERTO RICO TO WIN FIRST WBC TITLE; MARCUS STROMAN NAMED TOURNEY MVP

At Los Angeles:

Pitcher Marcus Stroman---named tournament Most Valuable Player---pitched six-plus shutout innings (not surrendering a hit until the seventh inning) while Ian Kinsler hit a two-run home in the third inning and Brandon Crawford delivered a two-run single during a three-run seventh inning as the United States demolished Puerto Rico 8-0 on Wednesday night to win their first World Baseball Classic championship.
