Three games in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament's South Region were played on Sunday.
At Banker's Life Fieldhouse, Indianapolis:
Bam Adebayo scored 13 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, and block what would have been a game-tying three-point shot in the final seconds and the second-seeded Kentucky Wildcats (31-5) held off the tenth-seeded Wichita State Shockers (31-5) 65-62.
De'Aaron Fox scored 14 points for the Wildcats while Malik Monk came up with a steal and sank two free throws in the final 13 seconds.
Landry Shamet, whose three-point shot was blocked at the end of the game, topped the Shockers with 20 points.
At Bon Secours Wellness Arena, Greenville, South Carolina:
Kennedy Meeks scored 16 points and produced a big-time tip-in with 44.2 seconds remaining as the top-seeded North Carolina Tar Heels (29-7) finished the match on the 12-0 run and overcame the eighth-seeded Arkansas Razorbacks (26-10) 72-65.
At Golden 1 Center, Sacramento:
Lonzo Ball scored 19 points and dished out nine assists as the third-seeded UCLA Bruins (31-4) defeated the sixth-seeded Cincinnati Bearcats (30-6) 79-67.
