Jim Lowe, NYC DJ Who Had Big Hit In '56 With "The Green Door," R.I.P.

Jim Lowe, the longtime New York City disc jockey who, as a singer,  scored a #1 hit in 1956 with "The Green Door," a tune about a secretive society, passed away on Monday at his East Hampton, New York home at age 93.
