Quinton Flowers ran for three touchdowns and threw for two more (including a 25-yarder to Elkanah Dillon in the opening play of overtime) on Thursday as the South Florida Bulls (11-2; #25 in the Associated Press poll, #22 in the USA Today/Coaches rankings) defeated the South Carolina Gamecocks (6-7) 46-39 in the Birmingham Bowl.
The 11th victory set a South Florida single-season school record.
