Running back Derrius Guice ran for 138 yards and a touchdown and caught a one-yard pass for another score on Saturday as the Louisiana State Tigers (8-4, #20 in the CFP rankings and USA Today/Coaches poll, #19 in the Associated Press poll) manhandled the Louisville Cardinals (9-4, #13 in CFP, #15 in both AP and Coaches) 29-9 in the Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl.
The Tigers' defense sacked Cardinals' Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Lamar Jackson eight times.
