At Portland, Oregon:
Diego Valeri (10') and Rodney Wallace (39') delivered the goals while Donovan Ricketts collected only his (and the team's) second shutout of the season on Saturday night as the Portland Timbers blanked visiting Chivas USA 2-0 in Major League Soccer action, marking their third win in their last four MLS starts.
The Timbers finished an undefeated league campaign against the goats with two wins (both shutouts) and one draw.
Portland will travel to Foxborough, Massachusetts for a league battle against the New England Revolution next Saturday at 4:30 PM Pacific Time (Timbers Television Network over the air).
