AFL Playoffs: Predators, Rattlers Advance To Conference Title Games

The opening round of the Arena Football League Playoffs concluded with two games contested on Sunday.

American Conference:

At Orlando, Florida:

The Orlando Predators outlasted the visiting Pittsburgh Power 56-48 to advance to the American Conference championship game.

National Conference:

At Phoenix, Arizona:

Defensive back Marquis Floyd's game-saving interception with 5.4 seconds remaining helped preserve the Arizona Rattlers' 53-48 National Conference semifinal victory over the visiting Portland Thunder.  It was the Rattlers' fourth victory over the Thunder this season.

Next weekend, the Orlando Predators will visit the Cleveland Gladiators in the American Conference title game while the Arizona Rattlers host the San Jose SaberCats in the National Conference title game.
