The semifinal round of the Arena Football League playoffs took place with both conference championship games played on Sunday.
At Cleveland:
Quarterback Shane Austin threw for seven touchdowns as the Cleveland Gladiators defeated the visiting Orlando Predators 56-46 to win their first ever American Conference title.
At Phoenix, Arizona:
The Arizona Rattlers, who are the two-time defending ArenaBowl champions, won their fourth consecutive National Conference title with a 72-56 home win over the San Jose Sabercats.
The Rattlers and Gladiators will face off in ArenaBowl XXVII at Cleveland's Quicken Loans Arena on Saturday, August 23 at 5:00 Pacific Time over ESPN.
