At Portland, Oregon:
Obafemi Martins scored twice (18', 76') and assisted on Clint Dempsey's goal in the 34th minute on Sunday as the Seattle Sounders regained the lead in Major League Soccer's Supporters Shield race with a 4-2 Cascadia Cup road win over the Portland Timbers.
With the defeat, the Timbers blew another chance to move into the Western Conference's playoff spots.
Portland will visit the Vancouver Whitecaps in another Cascadia Cup contest this coming Saturday at 7:30 PM Pacific Time (Timbers Television Network).
