Eli Wallach, the veteran actor who was the last surviving major cast member from the doomed 1961 motion picture "The Misfits," passed away on Tuesday according to his daughter at the age of 98.
"The Misfits" was the last motion picture for both Clark Gable (who passed away right after production) and Marilyn Monroe (who passed away in 1962). Montgomery Cliff passed on in 1966 while Thelma Ritter passed on in 1969.
Mr. Wallach is survived by his actress wife Anne Jackson.
Eli also portrayed a bumbling Mexican in the 1960 Western classic "The Magnificent Seven." and also appeared with Clint Eastwood in the 1966 film "The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly."
