At San Diego:

Rafael Gaglianone's third field goal, from 29 yards out, came with 2:27 remaining in regulation lifted the Wisconsin Badgers (#23 in both the final regular-season Associated Press and USA Today/Coaches polls; 10-3) to their first win in seven tries against the Southern California Trojans (#25 in the final College Football Playoff rankings; 8-6), 23-21 in Wednesday's Holiday Bowl.

Tyus Jones, named the game's Most Outstanding Player, scored 19 of his 23 points in the second half as the Duke Blue Devils (35-4) overcame a nine-point second-half deficit and upended the Wisconsin Badgers (36-4) 68-63 on Monday to win their (and their head coach Mike Krzyzewski) their fifth NCAA Men's Division I national basketball championship, despite 21 points and 12 rebounds from the Badgers' Frank Kaminsky. 

NCAA West Final: Badgers Oust Zona Again, Return To Final Four

At Los Angeles:

Frank Kaminsky scored 29 points while Sam Dekker added 27 (15 of them on five second-half three-pointers) as the top-seeded Wisconsin Badgers (35-3) defeated the second-seeded Arizona Wildcats (34-4) 85-78 in Saturday's West Regional Final of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament.  Last year, the Badgers nosed out the Wildcats in overtime in a regional final.  This marks Wisconsin's second straight Final Four appearance.

Outback Bowl: Badgers Top Auburn In OT

At Tampa, Florida:

Melvin Gordon carried the ball 34 times for 251 yards and three touchdowns while Rafael Gaglianone kicked the game-winning field goal in overtime from 25 yards out on Thursday as the Wisconsin Badgers (11-3) defeated the Auburn Tigers (8-5) 34-31 in the Outback Bowl.

Capital One Bowl: Gamecocks Outlast Badgers

At Orlando, Florida:

Connor Shaw completed 22 of 25 passes for 312 yards and three touchdowns while runner a yard for another score and receiving a nine-yard pass from Bruce Ellington for still another TD as the South Carolina Gamecocks (#9 in the Bowl Championship Series standings, #8 in both the Associated Press and USA Today/Coaches polls;11-2)defeated the Wisconsin Badgers 34-24 (#19 in all three aforementioned rankings; 9-4)in Wednesday's Capital One Bowl.

Rose Bowl: Cardinal Hold Off Badgers For First RB Win Since '72

At Pasadena, California:

Stepfan Taylor ran for 89 yards and a touchdown while Kevin Hogan passed for 123 yards as the Stanford Cardinal (#6 in the Bowl Championship Series standings, #8 in both the Associated Press and USA Today/Coaches polls; 12-2) won their first Rose Bowl game since 1972 on Tuesday, 20-14 over the Wisconsin Badgers (#23 in the coaches' poll) who have now lost the Rose Bowl game in three successive years.

This was the first of the Bowl Championship Series contests.

Beavers Shock Visiting Badgers To Open Season

At Corvallis, Oregon:

Quarterback Sean Mannion completed 29 of 47 passes for 276 and a touchdown (20 yards to Brandin Cooks) while the defense held running back Montee Ball to 61 yards and no touchdowns (ending his streak of 21 straight games with at least one) as the Oregon State Beavers (1-0) stunned the #13 ranked (in both the media and coaches polls) Wisconsin Badgers (1-1) 10-7 at home on Saturday in the Beavers' regular-season opener, avenging their one-sided defeat from last season at Madison.

Rose Bowl: Ducks Outgun Badgers For First RB Triumph In 95 Years

Darron Thomas (that's him here) threw for 268 yards and three touchdowns (two to Lavasier Tuinei and one of 54 yards to Kenjon Barner), De'Anthony Thomas (named Offensive MVP) scored on runs of 91 and 64 yards and Kiki Alonso (Defensive MVP) came up with a key fourth-quarter interception that set up a 30-yard Alejandro Maldonado field goal as the BCS-rated #5 Oregon Ducks (12-2)  came back and held off the #10 Wisconsin Badgers (11-3) 45-38 in Monday's 98th Rose Bowl game---the highest scoring game in series history--- for their first Rose Bowl triumph since 1917.

BADGERS COME BACK TO TOP SPARTANS; GET SHOT AT DUCKS IN PASADENA

At Indianapolis:


Montee Ball carried the ball 27 times for 137 yards and three touchdowns, including the go-ahead score with 3:45 remaining as the Wisconsin Badgers, ranked #15 in the Bowl Championship Series rankings, came from behind to defeat the #13-ranked Michigan State Spartans 42-39 Saturday night in the inaugural Big Ten Conference Championship Game.  The Badgers will face the Pac-12 Champs Oregon Ducks in the Rose Bowl in Pasadena on January 2.  Wisconsin quarterback Russell Wilson, who competed 17 of 24 passes for 187 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions, was named the game's Most Valuable Player.

At Madison, Wisconsin:


Quarterback Russell Wilson completed 17 of 21 passes for 189 yards and three touchdowns while Monte Ball ran for 118 yards and a pair of scores as Wisconsin (2-0; ranked #8 in the Associated Press poll, #9 in the USA Today/Coaches poll) smothered visiting Oregon State (0-2) 35-0.

Andy Dalton threw for a touchdown and ran for another while Tank Carder swatted a late two-point conversion pass attempt in the final moments as TCU (13-0) completed the second perfect season in school history (1938 was the other) by holding off Wisconsin (11-2) 21-19 in Saturday's Rose Bowl game, the opening contest of the Bowl Championship Series.  With the Badgers' defeat, the Big Ten Conference went 0-5 in Saturday's bowl games.

At Orlando, Florida:

John Clay ran for 121 yards and two touchdowns as Wisconsin (10-3) defeated Miami (9-4) 20-14 Tuesday night in the Champs Sports Bowl.
