At Louisville, Kentucky:
At the KFC Yum! Center, Jae Crowder (to go with his 13 rebounds) and Darius Johnson-Odom each scored 17 points as third-seeded Marquette (27-7) handed the sixth-seeded Murray State Racers (31-2) their second and final defeat of the season 62-53.
At Portland, Oregon:
Russ Smith scored 17 points as the fourth-seeded Louisville Cardinals (28-9) held off the fifth-seeded New Mexico Lobos (28-7) 59-56.
