DODGERS BURY (AND OUST) CUBS, WIN FIRST NATIONAL LEAGUE PENNANT SINCE 1988, WILL GET HOME ADVANTAGE IN WORLD SERIES

At Chicago:

Enrique Hernandez hit three homers and drove in seven runs on Thursday as the Los Angeles Dodgers ripped apart the Chicago Cubs 11-1 on the road to win the National League Championship Series four games to one and advance to their first World Series since 1988.

The Dodgers avenged their League Championship Series defeat of last year, in which the Cubs took that series in six games, en route to their first World Series title since 1908.
