Running back Christian McCafrey gained a game-record 368 al-purpose yards on Friday as the Stanford Cardinal (#6 in the final College Football Playoff rankings; 12-2) ripped apart the Iowa Hawkeyes (#5 CFP; 12-2) 45-16 in the Rose Bowl, part of the New Year's Six.
The sophomore running back caught a 75-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Kevin Hogan (who threw for two more TDs---both to Michael Rector) and returned a punt 66 yards for another score.
