CRIMSON TIDE UPEND CLEMSON TO WIN FOURTH NATIONAL TITLE IN SEVEN YEARS

Quarterback Jake Coker connected with O. J. Howard for a pair of touchdowns, while Heisman Trophy-winning running back Derrick Henry ran for three other scores (that's him, here, after his second TD), and Kenyon Drake ran back a kickoff 95 yards on Monday night as the second-seeded Alabama Crimson Tide (14-1) upended the top-seeded Clemson Tigers (14-1) 45-40 in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game, enabling them to win their fourth national title in seven years while head coach Nick Saban won his fifth title (four with 'Bama, one with LSU).
