Ducks Knock Off Stanford On Road, Keep Pac-12 North Division Title Hopes Alive

At Palo Alto, California:

Vernon Adams, Jr. played an economical game on Saturday by completing 10 of 12 passes for 205 yards and two touchdowns (47 yards to Darren Carrington and 49 yards to Taj Griffin) while Charles Nelson ran 75 yards for another score as the Oregon Ducks (7-3 overall, 5-2 in Pac-12 play) knocked off the Stanford Cardinal (#7 in the College Football Playoff rankings and both the Associated Press and USA Today/Amway Coaches polls; 8-2, 7-1) 38-36 on the road and kept their flickering hopes of winning the Pac-12 North Division title and mortally wounded the Cardinal's chances of reaching the College Football Playoff.
