The NCAA plans to expand the field for its' men's basketball tournamet from 65 to 68 teams beginning next year, rather than the expected 96 or even 80 teams. I really thought that the expansion to 96 teams was inevitible.
Beginning next year, under a new contract, CBS and the Turner Broadcasting System (through TNT, TBS or TruTV) would be televising the tournament, which means for the first time, every game would be seen live coast-to-coast.
