The Butler Didn't Do It: Duke Wins 4th NCAA Men's Basketball Crown

At Indianapolis:

The Duke Blue Devils won their fourth NCAA men's basketball national championship, defeating Butler 61-59 at Lucas Oil Stadium Monday night. Kyle Singler (named Most Outstanding Player) scored 19 points and grabbed 9 rebounds for the Blue Devils.  Jon Scheyer had 15 points and Nolan Smith added 13 for Duke.  Gordon Heyward (whose three-point shot from mid-court at the buzzer did not drop in) and Shelvin Mack each scored 12 points for the hometown Bulldogs.

Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski won his fourth NCAA title as a head coach, his---and the team's---first since 2001.  "Coach K" joins John Wooden and Adolph Rupp as the only coaches to win four or more national titles at the Division I level.
