Stanley Cup Playoffs: Wings Skin Coyotes To Get Crack At Sharks

At Glendale, Arizona:

Pavel Datsyuk scored twice (once on the power play) in less than two minutes in the second period, Nicklas Lindstrom netted two power-play goals and an assist, and Jimmy Howard saved 32 of 33 shots as the Detroit Red Wings roasted the Phoenix Coyotes 6-1 on the road to win their Western Conference quarterfinal series four games to three, denying the Coyotes their opportunity to win a playoff series for the first time since 1987 when they were based in Winnipeg. Next up for the Wings, a conference semifinal series against the top-seeded San Jose Sharks.
