Riders Fall To Elks At Home

At Mosaic Stadium, Regina, Saskatchewan:  


Quarterback Cody Fajardo completed 25 of 32 passes for 510 yards and four touchdowns as the visiting Edmonton Elks (5-1-0, 10 points) upended the Saskatchewan Roughriders (4-2-0, 8 points) 36-34 in Thursday Canadian Football League action.  The Riders' Trevor Harris completed 26 of 36 passes for 388 yards.

Riders Throttle TiCats At Home

 At Mosaic Stadium, Regina, Saskatchewan: 


Quarterback Trevor Harris completed 18 of 25 passes on Sunday for 211 yards and two touchdowns while backup QB Tommy Stevens ran for two other scores as the Saskatchewan Roughriders (4-1-0, 8 points) defeated the visiting Hamilton Tiger-Cats (2-3-0, 4 points) 38-7 in Canadian Football League action.

Riders Begin Grey Cup Title Defense With Home Win Over BC Lions

At Mosaic Stadium, Regina, Saskatchewan: 


Samuel Emilus caught six passes for three touchdowns, including one with one minute remaining in regulation time as the Saskatchewan Roughriders opened defense of their Grey Cup championship with a 31-27 Canadian Football League home victory over the British Columbia Lions on Sunday.

ROUGHRIDERS WIN GREY CUP TITLE

 At Princess Auto Stadium, Winnipeg, Manitoba:


Quarterback Trevor Harris (name's the game's Most Valuable Player) completed 23 of 27 passes for 302 yards on Sunday as the Saskatchewan Roughriders won the 112th edition of the Grey Cup Game, their fifth, and their first since 2013, as they defeated the Montreal Alouettes 25-17.

BLUE BOMBERS SKIN TICATS FOR FIRST GREY CUP TITLE IN 29 YEARS

At Calgary, Alberta:

Winnipeg native Andrew Harris, named the game's Most Valuable Player, ran for 134 yards and scored two touchdowns while Justin Medlock kicked six field goals on Sunday as the Winnipeg Blue Bombers dominated the Hamilton Tiger-Cats 33-12 to win their first Grey Cup championship since 1990.

Grey Cup Playoffs: Ti-Cats, Bombers (Who Knock Off Riders In Regina Again) Advance To Final

The Grey Cup Playoffs continued on Sunday with both divisional finals.

EASTERN DIVISION FINAL:

At Hamilton, Ontario:

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats dominated the visiting Edmonton Eskimos 36-16 in the Eastern Division Final to advance to the 107th Grey Cup Final (their first since 2014).

Quarterback Dane Evans completed 21 of 36 passes for 386 yards and a touchdown to lead the TiCats.



WESTERN DIVISION FINAL:

At Regina, Saskatchewan:

Quarterback Zach Collaros led a 107-yard touchdown-scoring drive while Justin Medlock kicked four field goals as the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, helped by a big goal-line stand late in the fourth quarter, knocked off the Saskatchewan Roughriders 20-13 on the road in the Western Division Final.

Winnipeg will be playing in its' first Grey Cup Final since 2011.

Last year, the Bombers knocked off the Riders in Regina in the Western Divisional semifinal.



Next Sunday, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Winnipeg Blue Bombers will play in the 107th Grey Cup Final at Calgary, Alberta (3:00 PM Pacific Time, ESPN 2 in the United States).

Grey Cup Playoffs: Eskimos, Blue Bombers Grab Road Wins To Get Shot At Ti-Cats And Riders Respectively

The Canadian Football League's Grey Cup Playoffs commenced on Sunday with both divisional semifinal games.

EASTERN DIVISION:

At Montreal:

C.J. Gable scored a pair of touchdowns while quarterback Trevor Harris threw for 421 yards and a score as the Edmonton Eskinos knocked off the Montreal Alouettes 37-29 on the road in their divisional semifinal game.

The Eskimos will visit the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in next Sunday's Eastern Division Final (10:00 AM Pacific Time)



WESTERN DIVISION:

At Calgary, Alberta:

The defense picked off quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell twice while running backs Chris Steveler and Nick Demski each ran for a touchdown as the Winnipeg Blue Bombers upended the Calgary Stampeders 35-14 in their divisional semifinal contest on thee road.

The Bombers will visit the Saskatchewan Roughriders in next Sunday's Western Division Final (1:30 PM Pacific Time).

Riders Edge Eskimos To Lock Up CFL West Title

At Regina, Saskatchewan:

Isaac Harker completed 23 of 28 passes for 213 yards while Brett Lauther kicked four field goals (47, 50, 54, 32 yards) as the Saskatchewan Roughriders (13-5) won their first Canadian Football League Western Division regular-season title in ten years by nosing out the visiting Edmonton Eskimos (8-10) in the regular-season finale for both clubs on Saturday.

Here are the matchups for the opening round of the Grey Cup Playoffs, with both divisional semifinals to be contested next Sunday.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders (6-3) scored 24 points off of five Ottawa REDBLACKS (3-7) turnovers on Saturday as the hosts rattled the club from the Canadian capital city 40-18 for their fifth successive Canadian Football League victory.
