Riders Fall At Home To Argos

At Mosaic Stadium, Regina, Saskatchewan:  


Quaterback Chad Kelly completed 23 of 30 passes for 321 yards and a pair of touchdowns (both to Tyler Kahmann)  on Friday as the Toronto Argonauts (2-1-0, 4 points) upended the homestanding Saskatchewan Roughriders (2-1-9, 4 points) 40-34 in Canadian Football League action.

Riders Blast Argos In Toronto, Clinch Playoff Berth

At Toronto:

Quarterback Cody Fajordo threw for 278 yards and three touchdowns while running for 80 yards and another score on Saturday as the Saskatchewan Roughriders (9-4) ran roughshod over the Toronto Argonauts (2-11) 41-16 in Canadian Football League action and locked up a Grey Cup playoff berth for the third successive season.

The Riders are now tied with Calgary atop the CFL's Western Division standings with five regular-season contests left.

Riders Rout Argos In Canada Day Clash As Saskatchewan Garners First Win Of Season

At Regina, Saskatchewan:

In a Canada Day Canadian Football League contest played on Monday, quarterfinal Cody Fajardo threw for a career-best 430 yards and three touchdowns as the Saskatchewan Roughriders (1-2) notched their first win of the season by drubbing the visiting Toronto Argonauts (0-2) 32-7.

Riders Nudge Argos In Toronto

At Toronto:

In Saturday Canadian Football League action, Jordan Williams-Lambert caught two touchdown passes while running back Marcus Thigpen ran 82 yards for another score as the Saskatchewan Roughriders (8-5), with Brett Lauther kicking a 56-yard field with just over a minute remaining, nosed out the Toronto Argonauts (3-9) 30-29 on the road.

Riders Open Season By Spoiling Start Of Argos' Title Defense

At Regina, Saskatchewan:

In Friday's Canadian Football League regular-season opener for both clubs, Nick Marshall ran back an intercepted pass 65 yards for a touchdown to seal the Saskatchewan Roughriders' 27-19 home victory over the defending Grey Cup champions Toronto Argonauts, avenging their Eastern Division playoff final defeat from last November.

ARGOS BATTLE BACK TO WIN FIRST GREY CUP TITLE SINCE 2012

At Ottawa:

In the 105th Grey Cup Final played on Sunday, Cassius Vaughn ran back a fumble 109 yards for the game-tying touchdown late in the fourth quarter while Lirim Hajrullahu kicked the game-winning field goal with 49 seconds remaining as the Toronto Argonauts came from behind to upend the Calgary Stampeders 27-24.

Matt Black intercepted a pass from Calgary quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell in the end zone to seal the Argos' first Grey Cup championship in five years.

Toronto quarterback Ricky Ray, who completed 19 of 32 passes for 297 yards and a touchdown, became the first starting QB to win four Grey Cups.

Quarterback Darian Durant completed 15 of 22 passes for 164 yards and two touchdowns while running back Joe McKnight carried the ball 17 times for 150 yards on Saturday as the Saskatchewan Roughriders (5-10) picked up their fourth successive Canadian Football League victory, 29-11 on the road over the Toronto Argonauts (5-11).

Riders Drop Season Opener At Home

At Regina, Saskatchewan:

Quarterback Ricky Ray threw for a touchdown in each of his first two offensive drives as the Toronto Argonauts (1-1) ruined the Saskatchewan Roughriders' Canadian Football League regular-season opener 30-17.

It was the Riders' (0-1) final home opener at Mosiac Stadium at Taylor Field.

Quarterback Trevor Harris threw a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns (one each to Vidal Hazelton and Diontae Spencer) on Saturday to rally the Toronto Argonauts (4-2) past the visiting---and still winless---Saskatchewan Roughriders (off to their first 0-7 start since 1979) 30-26 in Canadian Football League action.  The game was the Argos' first game of the season at the Rogers Centre.

Quarterback Trevor Harris completed 30 of 38 passes for 267 yards and four touchdowns (including an 11-yard pass to Tori Gurley in overtime and the winning two-point conversion pass to Anthony Coombs) on Sunday as the Toronto Argonauts (2-0) knocked off the home-standing Saskatchewan Roughriders (0-2) 42-40 in Canadian Football League action.

Chalk Up Another Win For The Roughriders As Saskatchewan Knocks Off Argos In Toronto

At Toronto:

Before leaving the game in the fourth quarter with an apparent lower-body injury, quarterback Darian Durant completed 14 of 19 passes for 245 yards and three touchdowns as the Saskatchewan Roughriders (3-0) knocked off the defending Grey Cup champions Toronto Argonauts (1-2) 39-28 on the road in the lone Thursday night Canadian Football League contest.

ARGOS DOMINATE STAMPEDERS, WIN 16TH GREY CUP TITLE

At Toronto:

Ricky Ray (who had played on two previous championship teams at Edmonton) threw two touchdown passes while Chad Kackert, named the game's Most Valuable Player, picked up 195 all-purpose yards as the Toronto Argonauts won the 100th Grey Cup Final, 35-22 over the Calgary Stampeders.

The victory was the sixteenth such title for the Argos, more than any other team.

Ricky Ray threw four touchdown passes on Saturday as the Toronto Argonauts (8-9) held off the Saskatchewan Roughriders (8-9) 31-26 on the road in Canadian Football League action.  The Argos assured themselves of no worse than a second-place finish in the Eastern Division and would host a divisional semifinal game next month.

Riders Ground Up Argos In Toronto

At Toronto:

Running back Kory Sheets ran for 106 yards on 17 carries, 48 of those yards on a third-quarter touchdown run as the Saskatchewan Roughriders (8-6) dominated the Toronto Argonauts (7-7) 36-10 in Canadian Football League action on Monday, which happened to be Thanksgiving Day in Canada.  The victory was the 'Riders' fifth in their last six games.

Wide receiver Chris Getzlaf caught seven passes for 170 yards and a touchdown while rookie kicker Chris Milo booted three field goals as the Saskatchewan Roughriders (4-7) racked up their third consecutive Canadian Football League victory on Saturday as they defeated the visiting Toronto Argonauts (2-9) 30-20.
