Steven Haney scored 18 points while Brandon Brown made the game-winning layup in the final seconds on Saturday as the Loyola Marymount Lions (9-8 overall, 2-4 in WCC play) knocked off the Portland Pilots (9-8, 2-3) 79-78 on the road, despite 22 points from the Pilots' Alec Wintering.
Shamar Johnson came up with a key defensive block as time was expiring to preserve the Lions' victory.
