Though she appeared in numerous motion pictures in the 1940s and 1950s, actress Barbara Hale will best remembered for her Emmy Award-winning (for best supporting actress in a dramatic series-1959) portrayal as loyal secretary Della Street on the Perry Mason television series (CBS, 1957-66), as well as a series of Perry Mason made-for-TV movies (NBC-1985-1995).
Miss Hale, who was the last surviving original major cast member from the original TV series, passed away at her Los Angeles home on Thursday at age 94.
