In Sunday Major League Soccer action, Diego Valeri scored twice (44', 50') and Fanendo Adi once (64') while Jake Gleeson came up with four saves as the Portland Timbers stretched their MLS unbeaten streak to nine games with their 3-1 Cascadia Cup home victory over the Seattle Sounders.
Chad Marshall scored the lone Sounders goal in the 59th minute.
The Timbers will host the Los Angeles Galaxy this coming Saturday at 12:30 PM Pacific Time (ESPN).
