NBA Playoffs: Knicks Have Celtics On Cusp Of Elimination; Spurs Doing Same To Lakers; Warriors Top Nuggets In Wild One In Oakland To Take 2-1 Series Lead

Three games were played in the National Basketball Association Playoffs on Friday.

EASTERN CONFERENCE:

At Boston:

Carmelo Anthony scored 26 points while Raymond Felton (to go with his ten assists) and J.R. Smith (before he was ejected) each added 15 as the New York Knicks downed the Boston Celtics 90-76 on the road in game three of their conference quarterfinal series.  The Knicks, who now lead the series three games to none, can finish off the Celtics with a win in Boston on Sunday.

WESTERN CONFERENCE:

At Los Angeles:

Tim Duncan scored 26 points and grabbed nine rebounds while Tony Parker added 20 (to go with his seven assists) as the San Antonio Spurs opened up a commanding three-games to none lead in their first-round series, handing the Los Angeles Lakers their worst home playoff defeat, 120-89.  The Spurs can finish off the Lakers on Sunday night in Los Angeles with a game-four victory.

At Oakland, California:

Stephen Curry scored 26 points and dished out 11 assists despite playing with a sprained ankle while Jarrett Jack added 23 (to go with his seven assists) and Harrison Barnes and Carl Landry each scored 19 points as the Golden State Warriors battled back from a 13-point third-quarter and edged the visiting Denver Nuggets 110-108 in game three of their conference quarterfinal series, which the Warriors now lead two games to one.
